Same thing happened in Cleveland, I recall the sellouts they use to have. What do you think is the issue? Is it the cost to attend a game? Did the fan base give up on the team. You are watching futrue HoFs in front of your eyes.

It’s a combination of the “New” stadium wearing off, and the performance on the field.

Ray, I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic or not as one cannot truly trust a Mets fan. There’s not a single player on the Phillies that will make the Hall of Fame at this point. I guess Hamels could get there eventually, but since he only wins 10-12 games a year he’d have to pitch until he’s 48.

That’s debatable. His batting average is not good.

Looks like another loss. Maybe they should just forfeit. Sheesh

Stop it, you are up by 1 (4-3 top of the 6th). Stop being negative. The Phillies are better that that,

Ray, the term “Negadelphia” exists for good reason. it’s based on an ingrained expectation to lose, born of decades-long stretches of Phillies suckiness. And notwithstanding the fact that, since the late ’70s, the Phillies have one of the better overall won-loss club records. (Correct me if I’m wrong, anyone.)

By the way, thanks for your generous post, in support of the Phillies, from the other day.

Lou, to your point about the Phillies’ record:

Since 1969 (i.e. the majority of most fans’ lifetimes), only 7 teams have a better record, and only 6 have more playoff appearances or more championships.

After watching most of the games this year… I have desided that I like Matt Stairs more than Jamie Moyer.

However, I think they both have improved since the beginning of the year.

Stairs is very good and getting better. Shares a lot of insight about the game and is very funny without resorting to LA or Sarge forced wackiness. Jamie is just OK, knows his stuff but a little low-energy.

It looks he’s actually got worse with the bat Schreiber. I suppose since he can play 6 pos fairly adequate he’ll have a career as a AAA journey man.

More people went to the little league game yesterday than attended the Phillies.

Keep up the good work Ruben.
