A Note for Today:  Jerome Williams will make his third start for the Phillies, and he’s done pretty well in his first two. He’s thrown 12.1 innings and given up just three earned runs. (2.19 ERA). Prior to coming to the Phillies, however, he threw 57.2 innings for the Astros and Rangers, giving up 43 earned runs (6.71 ERA). The question is, what Jerome Williams will we see?

    Looked at that pitch three times. The first time I thought Howard was right. Now I think it was a strike.

    For a guy that played showcasing tremendous power, Schmidt sure loves small ball. He talks a lot about taking walks, bunting guys over, dropping a bunt down the line with an infielder playing back etc. I wonder if he would consider managing.

    Is there a chance that with a couple more good starts j-will is making a case to return to the rotation next year because of our lack of starters next season?
