Notes for tonight:

The Phillies are hot coming off last night’s walk-off win in 11 innings.  The bullpen tossed six scoreless innings and Ryan Howard hit a walk-off homer for the 4-3 win – the Phillies’ 8th win in their last 9 games.  Tonight, Jerad Eickhoff looks to help the Phillies finish April with a strong record.  He also has a chance to improve on the team’s incredible K/9 stat.  According to Corey Seidman, even if they have 0 Ks in 9 innings tonight, the Phils will set the MLB record for month of April with 10.4 strikeouts per 9 innings.

The Phillies lineup will face Cleveland’s Trevor Bauer, who is giving up his seat in the bullpen for one in the dugout tonight.  He’ll make his first start of the season as he replaces former Phillies prospect Carlos Carrasco (out with a hamstring injury).  The right-handed Bauer has coughed up six runs and 13 hits over 11+ innings in 6 games coming out of the ‘pen so far this year.

Upcoming Games:
Sun at 2:35 pm  – Vincent Velasquez (3-1) vs. Danny Salazar (2-1) – Mother’s Appreciation Day
