Phillies Nation Perfect Season: Utley and Howard hit back-to-back homers in win against Padres

June 1, 2009 – Phillies 5, Padres 3

The first-place Philadelphia Phillies entered the month of June as one of the best offensive teams in the league. They led the National League in home runs thanks to the power trio of Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Raúl Ibañez. The three combined for 42 home runs through the first two months of the 2009 season.
