The Phillies’ Grapefruit League schedule opens Saturday with split squad action on the road in Lakeland against Detroit and the spring home opener at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater. Michael Plassmeyer will start against the Tigers. Nick Nelson will take the mound in Clearwater versus the Yankees.

As previously mentioned, NBC Sports Philadelphia will broadcast 13 of the Phillies’ 16 home spring training games. All games are scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. ET.:

  • Saturday, Feb. 25 vs. Yankees (NBCSP)
  • Sunday, Feb. 26 vs. Twins (NBCSP)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 28 vs. Blue Jays (NBCSP+)
  • Friday, Mar. 3 vs. Tigers (NBCSP+)
  • Saturday, Mar. 4 vs. Pirates (NBCSP)
  • Thursday, Mar. 9 vs. Orioles (NBCSP+)
  • Friday, Mar. 10 vs. Pirates (NBCSP+)
  • Tuesday, Mar. 14 vs. Braves (NBCSP+)
  • Friday, Mar. 17 vs. Blue Jays (NBCSP+)
  • Sunday, Mar. 19 vs. Red Sox (NBCSP)
  • Monday, Mar. 20 vs. Orioles (NBCSP+)
  • Thursday, Mar. 23 vs. Tigers (NBCSP+)
  • Saturday, Mar. 25 vs. Yankees (NBCSP+)

Three home games, March 7 against the Rays and March 12 and March 28 against the Blue Jays, are not available on the network and will be streamed exclusively on Phillies.com for free.

One away game against the Red Sox in Fort Myers on March 2 at 12:05 p.m. ET. will be available to watch on ESPN. Manager Rob Thomson said this week that Andrew Painter’s first spring outing could be during the middle of next week, around the sixth game on the spring schedule, so it is possible that Painter’s Grapefruit League debut is nationally televised.

The Phillies’ March 15 away game against the Yankees at George Steinbrenner Field will be available to viewers in the Philadelphia area on MLB Network. The game is blacked out for those in the Yankees viewing area.

Some Phillies spring away outings will not be available to watch on traditional television but could still be accessible to Phillies fans who subscribe to MLB.tv. These are usually home broadcast feeds that are typically available to fans in the Philadelphia viewing area.

Nine games fall into that category. All games have afternoon start times with the exception of one:

  • Monday, Feb. 27 at Pirates
  • Wednesday, Mar. 1 at Twins
  • Sunday, Mar. 5 at Blue Jays
  • Saturday, Mar. 11 at Yankees
  • Friday, Mar. 17 at Blue Jays (split squad)
  • Tuesday, Mar. 21 at Pirates
  • Wednesday, Mar. 22 at Rays
  • Friday, Mar. 24 at 6:07 p.m. ET at Blue Jays
  • Monday, Mar. 27 at Blue Jays

All remaining spring games will at least have a home or away radio feed.
