Former National League MVP and all-time Phillies great Jimmy Rollins is reportedly starting a new venture in Philadelphia.

Rollins is partnering to open Eleven Social, a lounge-style restaurant in the city’s Old City neighborhood, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The former shortstop wore No. 11 for the majority of his 15-year career with the Phillies that saw him win the 2007 MVP, four Gold Gloves and the 2008 World Series with the team.

Rollins, the Phillies franchise leader in hits, has stayed connected to Philadelphia and the organization since his retirement; he’s occasionally served as a color commentator for Phillies broadcasts on NBC Sports Philadelphia and was hired as a special advisor to team president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski in 2022. The 45-year-old has also pursued business opportunities in the marijuana industry.

Now, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal, he’s partnering with California restaurateur Matt DeLima to bring his newest business venture to Philly.

Eleven Social will be located at 117 Chestnut St., the former site of the now-closed 2nd Story Brewing Company.

The restaurant will serve American-style cuisine and also brew its own beer. Eleven Social is aiming for a “June or July opening” for the new Rollins-backed establishment.
